Every month, the Alabama Audubon offers folks an opportunity to participate in an hour-long, Friday lunchtime walk that explores different locations of the state and its nature each month.
The April N@N will be held at Red Mountain and co-led by Alabama Audubon’s Program Coordinator, Andrew Lydeard and Red Mountain Park’s Membership Director, Lauren Spalding. We will explore portions of this 1,500-acre urban park that is not only rich in biodiversity but also steeped in history. We will discuss how these mining operations can impact wildlife, water resources, and native ecosystems.
