Art is a human activity consisting in this, that one consciously, by means of external signs, hands on to others feelings that one has lived through, and that other people are infected by these feelings and also experience them.

In this workshop participants will experiment with cutting, folding and collaging, and not so simple sewing/attaching to create a wonderful re-imagined sculptural (small book) out of paper and a found object. Doug Baulos will talk about how to quickly identify birds at Ruffner both through silhouette and marking. We will create small bird spirit books to record observations and memories and cement knowledge of bird forms.
This workshop is 5.5 hours total.
*Materials to be provided, but please bring:
- a pencil
- a ruler
- scissors
- a sack lunch
- suitable hiking clothes
- any additional collage or paper ephemera you enjoy working with (optional)
- binoculars (optional)
