Eco-printing is contact printing of plants onto fabric. Participants will learn about plants, fabrics, paper equipment, process, and bundling techniques. Participants will sew/applique and experiment with fabric abstraction to capture the essence of their favorite flora and fauna. Silk and linen fabric and various papers will be used as they have an affinity for plants and create fantastic prints. We will look at various traditional ways to design using natural dyes including print, paints or tie and then dye in the vat. Using bandhani and leheria techniques. No experience necessary, just a willingness to experiment and enjoy the bounties of nature. (6 - 8 hours)
