Do all venomous snakes have triangle heads and cat-eye pupils? How do you tell the difference between a venomous snake and a nonvenomous snake? Do snakes chase people? What do you do if you are bitten by a venomous snake? Learn the answers to these questions and more at Ruffner Mountain!
We will be using a Powerpoint and life-size, lifelike models of all of Alabama's venomous snakes to learn field marks. One venomous snake will be on display behind glass, and you will be able to meet and touch live, nonvenomous lookalikes.
This program is geared towards ages 8 and up.
Disclaimer: There will be live snakes at this program. Venomous snakes will remain behind glass.
