July Community Work Day

Are you interested in working outside, learning about trail-buildling, gardening, or carpentry, or just getting a little exercise? If you said yes to any of these, then this is a great opportunity to get out and engage with your community, and maybe get your hands a little dirty in the process!

On this particular work day we will be working on five different projects, with five team leaders: Jon Woolley, Michelle Reynolds, Jamie Nobles, Mike Randolph, and Reid Robertson. All projects will take place at or around the Nature Center.

Reid will be rebuilding the pathway and installing drain boxes to help with runoff.

Jon will be working in the Habitat Garden and around the Nature center removing ragweed, pruning various plants and other various weeding and work around the garden and surrounding areas.

Michelle will be working in the rain garden removing invasives, thinning out plants, and removing/cutting back unwanted plants.

Jamie will be working around the back of the Nature center above the retaining wall removing and cleaning out the area in front of the animal cages. If time allows, he will also continue progress on the split rail fence across the parking lot.

Mike will be grading and working around our new trailhead sign. He will also be helping Reid with other runoff and drainage issues.

Only 20 spots open, so register today!
