Ruffner Mountain is hosting this month's Birmingham Fern Society meeting and program:

"The History of Ruffner's Native Plant Gardens"

The native plant gardens at Ruffner have as rich of a history as the preserve itself. Join us for a talk on the evolution of our educational gardens from long-time Ruffner supporter and leader of our Habitat Garden Club, Michelle Reynolds. Learn about some of the groups and volunteers that have supported the gardens, and how you can be involved in the future! Then, we will enjoy a tour of the current gardens near the Nature Center. Come at 5:00pm to meet and mingle, presentation will begin at 5:30pm. Free and open to the public.
