Audubon's Great Backyard Bird Count Hike

Join Outreach Director Ansel Payne for a morning bird walk on Ruffner Mountain! Together, we'll look for common (and uncommon) winter birds, talk about best practices for woodland birding, and generate important citizen-science data for the 2017 Great Backyard Bird Count. Bring a coat, some water, and a sense of adventure as we explore this cherished Birmingham green space. No experience necessary!

Meetup is at 8 a.m. in the main Ruffner parking lot (33.55848, -86.70746). Please bring binoculars if you have them, although we will have several extra pairs on hand. And we're not kidding about the coats—last year's walk was super cold!

If you plant to attend please fill out a waiver and register using the form below. Also, please let us know if there will be other with you in your group.
