Children’s Story Time
1st Monday of every month

Is your child a budding naturalist? Bring them to Storytime to encourage their excitement about the outdoors. We will read a story with a nature theme. Following the story, there will be a short activity. Suited for children 3 – 5. All children must be accompanied by an adult during the program.*
 
Scavenger Hunt

The woods are filled with mystery and intrigue. See if you can find some of the answers from our Scavenger Hunt. When you are done, turn your sheet in for a prize!

Want to attract birds to your backyard? Come make a birdhouse and learn about some of our feathered Alabama friends.

Night Hike

Think the dark woods are spooky and creepy? Come and see why they aren’t. We will take a short hike and use our senses to explore the woods at night. Following the hike, we will learn about some nocturnal animals and their activities after dark. 
All ages welcome. 
Short hike on uneven terrain without lights. 
No pets please.
Reservations required.
$7 ($5 member).   
 
Wine & Cheese Hike

Don’t miss this social occasion! Hike to Hawk’s View Overlook to enjoy light refreshments and wine. Watch the sun set over the city view while enjoying to the presence of good company. 
Moderate hike, 1 ½ miles each way. 
Adults only. 
No pets please.
